Wine notes

Intense and inviting dark ruby color.  Nearly opaque which is typical for the reds from this vineyard.  Classic aromas of cassis, cherry and allspice.  Flavors reflect the nose and the mouth maintains a lively acidity with a firm structure that makes the wine a likely candidate for rich, savory dishes.  A wine in balance that will enhance its longevity.

2002 Hunt Outlaw Ridge Zinfandel

Winemakers Notes

You have one of the most vibrant and complex Zinfandels you have most likely ever experienced.  The bouquet simply jumps from the glass with intense flavors of spicy licorice, fennel, ripe blue berry, and sweet chocolate with aromas of French Roast coffee and a sweet tobacco smoky finish.

In a recent Cult Wine Tasting this wine beat the most expensive $100.00 cult Zins and also won the Zin Shoot out.

Food Paring

Amazing with peppercorn steak, prime rib, spiced shrimp or anything you throw on the BBQ.

General notes:

Color: Ruby Purple.
A radiant display of lavender, blueberry, pepper, cinnamon, clove and mint greet the senses in the aromatics of this sensual wine.  The mouthfeel is soft and lush, with fine tannins and a layer palate, and it finishes with beautiful length.  The style here is one of subtle spice and great balance, but with plenty of power and richness.
