Notes

A great vintage!! They should’ve called it Fab Five—this wine is a testament to why these varietals are blended together.  Each vineyard block contributes its unique character; the Cabernet Sauvignon from Mazzocco-Bevill’s Clone 337 in Alexander Valley commands attention with lush, black berries and chalky tannins; the Merlot commemorates the late Truman King’s Sonoma Valley vineyard delivering a rich texture of mint and plum, filling the mid-palate, Mazzera’s Dry Creek Cab Franc brings in an assortment of chili pepper–like characteristics, St. Olof’s Clear Lake Malbec adds to the mouth-feel with black cherries and leather, and the Petite Verdot twists in with earthy undertones mixed with dried currants, while subtle, finer qualities illuminate the finish in Frane’s Meritage. It’s the apex of their Bordeaux-style wines.
